Day 1

Capula

Visit the house and gallery of Master Juan Torres, creator of the clay catrina.
Workshop of catrinas and skulls where you can paint a piece that you will take home as a souvenir.

Santa Fe de la Laguna

Visit to the Huatápera and town founded by Don Vasco de Quiroga. Ahuanda “Cielo” workshop where you can feel the clay used by the master artisans to make the pieces with the technique of burnished and glazed clay.

San Jerónimo Purenchécuaro

In this town you will meet the master traditional cook Rosalba Morales Bartolo, in her kitchen you can taste her dishes that have been recognized nationally and internationally.

Oponguio

Palomas Mensajeras” artisanal mezcal wine experience. Here you will discover the ancestral and artisanal process of this drink made from different magueys endemic to the region. You will taste three types of exquisite mezcal made by Don Miguel and his sons Melitón and Miguel.

Day 2

Patzcuaro

Workshop of corn cane paste, maque and profiled lacquer by Master Mario Agustín Gaspar. In this workshop you will be able to admire two pre-Columbian techniques and one more brought by the Spaniards more than 300 years ago. Wooden hearts workshop, here you will be able to paint a heart to take home as a souvenir.

Tzintzuntzan

Traditional cooking workshop with the teacher Blanca Delia Villagómez, in this workshop you will learn how to make corundas of ash and lard, at the end you will be able to taste your own creation. Wheat popotillo workshop with Master Antonio Cornelio and high temperature artistic pottery workshop with Master Manuel Morales, in both you will be able to participate and enjoy these two artisan techniques.

Day 3

Aranza and Ahuíran

In these two towns, we will carry out the workshop of shawls in backstrap loom called Patakua, where the master craftswomen make truly beautiful cotton, wool and woven shawls that will captivate women of good taste.

Paracho

A lute workshop where you can appreciate the process of making high quality guitars that have gained national and international fame.

Angahuan and/or Zacán

Prepare all your senses because here you will meet master chefs Juana Bravo and/or Esperanza Galván from Angahuan and/or Zacán respectively, with whom you can participate in the elaboration of a seasonal dish, after which you will taste the delicious typical delicacies made by these two extraordinary Purepecha women.
